Evelyn Lackey McDonaldPublished Wednesday, July 2, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Evelyn Lackey McDonald, 87, of Dallas, Texas, died Saturday, June 28, 1997. She was born on July 31, 1910. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, J.L. McDonald; one daughter, Martha McDonald Burnette of Hope; four grandchildren, Lisa Hackney of Garland, Texas, Rev. Stephen Young of South Fulton, Tenn., Charles Burnette of Hope, and Rosa Barnett of Prescott; and nine great grandchildren. She was a long time resident of Dallas, Texas, and was a homemaker and a secretary. She and her husband pastored churches in the Dallas-Irving area for many years. Services were conducted by grandson, Rev. Stephen Young, at the Shackleford Funeral Home Chapel of Prescott, Tuesday, July 1.
