Advisory Meeting Is July 16th

Southwest Arkansas Development Council, Inc. Literacy program is pleased to announce there will be new and better ways for volunteers to be involved in literacy in their home counties in 1997.

Advisory and Planning committee members are urged to nominate new members to committee in time for the July election of officers. Anyone interested in working to shape the future of adult literacy services are encouraged to join the committee.

The Nevada County advisory meeting is set for Wednesday, July 16, at noon, at the Housing Authority Room in Prescott. (Bring your own lunch).

Elections will be held to name new leaders. New volunteer positions will be dicussed and volunteers accepted to fill them. Fund raisers will be set and plans make to carry them out. Announcements of the latest developments with the literacy program will be made.

Try your best to be at these meetings. Call to R.S.V.P to Teri Hughes, 870-887-5536 in Prescott or 870-777-2380 in Hope.

The dates for our next tutor training workshop are being set for August.
