Bowell SewellPublished Wednesday, July 9, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Bowell Sewell, 96, of Prescott, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, in a Magnolia hospital. She was born October 5, 1900, in Hempstead County to James Monroe and Emily Strong Graham. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church in Hempstead County. She was preceded in death by one son, Hancel Sewell, and one daughter, Evelyn Stewart. Survivors include two sons, Horace Sewell of Warren, Ohio, and James Hershel Sewell of Melbourne; three daughters, Ola Mae Sepka of Wooster, Ohio, Mrs. Nellie Sewell Nunn of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. Faye Dean Terry of Mobile, Ala.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Fueral services were Saturday, July 5, at Brazzel-Cornish Chapel with Rev. Joe Miller officiating. Burial was in Sweet Home Cemetery in Hempstead County.
