Bessie Renfro WhitmarshPublished Wednesday, July 9, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneMrs. Bessie Renfro Whitmarsh, 89, of Prescott, died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope. She was born in Nevada County, Arkansas, on March 23, 1908, to John Thomas and Etta Harris Renfro. She was a housewife and mother. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burrell Whitmarsh, in 1989. Survivors were one son, Bobby Whitmarsh of Hope; one brother, John Charles Renfro; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were Friday, July 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Brazzel-Cornish Chapel with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial was in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, 201 E. Main, Prescott.
