Lenderman Is New Minister Of Methodist ChurchBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, July 9, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune Prescott's First United Methodist Church has a new minister. Rev. Jim Lenderman has been appointed as the church's new pastor. This was done at the Little Rock Annual Conference in May at Hot Springs. "My family and I are delighted about becoming a part of the First United Methodist Church family," Lenderman said. "We are excited about building on the church's strong history as we reach out in ministry and service to the world." Before making the trip to Prescott, Lenderman was pastor of the Parkers Chapel and Pleasant Grove Methodist Churches in the El Dorado area. He has also served as the associate pastor of the FUMC at Hot Springs. He is a 1986 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville and a 1991 graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. He serves on the central committee of the Ozark Mission Project, the board of Henderson State University/Ouachita Baptist University Wesley Foundation and the conference board of education for the United Methodist Church. Lenderman and his wife, Beth, a 1991 graduate of the University of Kentucky in Lexington, are natives of Carlisle, Ark. They have one son, Hayden.
