RosstonPublished Wednesday, August 18, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneMarguerite Williams We are happy to have our pastor's wife home with P.J's new baby brother. Laura's mother, Kaye Rodgers, of Louisiana spent the weekend with them to help out. Bro. Petie, Laura and P.J. had the new baby in church Sunday. Veneta Bustin has been moved to Hillcrest Nursing Center from the Golden Care Unit at Hope. Lee Jarvis is some better, but will go to the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock this week for a test. Roscoe and I visited with Veneta Bustin on Thursday afternoon and then attended the Watermelon Festival in Hope. Valeria O'Keefe, Cindy and Christy Taylor attended the Watermelon Festival in Hope on Friday morning and Jeff and Tara Carlton and children attended the gospel singing at the festival on Sunday afternoon. I'm sure there were others from Rosston who attended that I didn't hear about. Paul and Dot Broussard returned home from Florida and from visiting Paul's relatives in South Louisiana on Saturday night. Odeal Dillard's niece, Sherry, and Jim of Texas visited with the Dillards on Saturday. B.C. Dillard took his brother-in-law, Bud Freeland, of Camden to the doctor in Little Rock. Bro. Hershell and Nadine Wortman of Houston came to their vacation home in Rosston while we were in church Sunday night. Our son Jim of Prescott was breakfast guest of Roscoe and me Friday morning. Our revival begins on Sunday, August 29, and will go through September 3. Homecoming is August 29 with Beth Ann Rankin, former Miss Arkansas, of Magnolia rendering the special music in the morning service. We will then have lunch in the fellowship hall. There will not be any singing that afternoon, but we will have special singers each night of the revival. Everyone is invited. Bro. Sam Husser will be the evangelist. Mrs. Husser will probably sing on Sunday morning. If you can't come, pray for us. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
