Lee O. Jarmon

Lee O. Jarmon, 81, formerly of Gurdon, passed away July 10, 1997, in Dallas, Texas.

He was born in Marion, La., August 25, 1915. He grew up in Gurdon and attended Henderson State Teachers College. He married Jo Runyan April 8, 1950, in Little Rock.

Mr. Jarmon bought a Studebaker dealership in Levelland, Texas, in 1953 and opened a Ford dealership in Sudan in 1954. He began what is now Sam Pack's Lee Jarmon Ford in 1955. He was a former president of New Car Dealers of Dallas County and on Ford Dealer's Council. He was an avid supporter of Salesmanship Club and the Byron Nelson. He will best remembered for his love of life and golf. He was a member of Brookhaven Country Club, Bent Tree Country Club and Preston Trail Golf Club.

He is survived by his wife, Jo; a son, Larry Jarmon of Carrollton, Texas; a daughter, Judy Jarmon of Plano, Texas; one granddaughter; a brother, Paul Jarmon of Marion, La.; and a sister, Etta Belle Chandler of El Dorado.

Services were held Saturday, July 12, 1997, at Prestoncrest Church of Christ in Dallas with Dr. Prentice Meador Jr. officiating. Burial was private for family at Restland Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or your favorite charity.
