Red Springs Sets HomecomingPublished Wednesday, July 16, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesRed Springs Missionary Baptist Church will be celebrating its 103rd homecoming services Sunday, July 20, with Sunday school at 10:00 a.m. Bro. Doug Clements, pastor of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Ringgold, La., formerly of Gurdon, will preach at the 11:00 service. Bro Clements is married to Valerie Wells Clements also formerally of Gurdon. They are the parents of Kasey, 8, and Mitchell, 5. His grandfather is the late George Clements, who pastored the Red Springs Church for many years. Potluck lunch will be served at noon and congregational singing and specials will be in the afternoon.
