Megan Renae McJunkinsPublished Wednesday, July 23, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesMegan Renae McJunkins of Bismarck was killed by an automobile in Arkadelphia Wednesday, July 16, 1997. She was the two-year-old daughter of Erick and Michelle Hammonds McJunkins. She was born February 5, 1995. Survivors beside her parents include two sisters, Candice Michelle McJunkins of Bismarck and Jessica Lee Smith of Gurdon; two grandmothers, Diane Kizer of Jonesboro and Donna Lee Battles of Lodi Calif.; two grandfathers, Junior Douglas Hammonds of Gurdon and Cleve Junior McJunkins of Bismarck; and her great great grandparents, J.D. and Mamie Hammonds of Gurdon, Juanita Pickett of Grants Pass, Ore., and Ethel Duncan of Arkadelphia. Services were Saturday, July 19, at Third Street Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Rev. Gary Turner officiating. Burial was in Richland Cemetery under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. Memorials may be made to the Megan McJunkins Fund at Elk Horn Bank in Arkadelphia.
