An offer will be made to an individual for the post of job superintendent for the GMS construction project. However, this person will not be named until they accept the job.

The resignation of Kim Huckabee, the district's speech therapist. This job opening will be advertised for by the school, as will a half-time reading teacher at GMS.

Retiring faculty who have been with the district 20 years will be given the choice of taking $800 or pay for their accrued sick leave, whichever is greater. Those with 25 years get their choice between $900 and the sick leave pay, while 30 year instructors choose either $1,000 or the sick pay.

The board also agreed to continue carrying student/athletic insurance with United Insurance Company, as it had the lowest of three bids submitted for the policy.

The district's personnel policy committee asked for three personal days for employees, and if these days are not used by the end of the year, they will be tacked onto the accumulated sick leave of teachers. The board approved this item.
