Eloise Hamilton HalePublished Wednesday, July 23, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneEloise Hamilton Hale, 67, died Sunday, June 29, 1997, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She was born August 14, 1929, in Nevada County to Jeff and Corrie Hamilton. She was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease, in 1994. In the three years which followed, she continued to live her life as she always had, demonstrating quiet strength, deep faith, great humor and limitless love to her family. She is survived by her husband, Ralph Hale Jr. of Vidor, Texas; her mother, Corrie Holt of Hope; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Peggy Hale of Mauriceville; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Susan Hale of Beaumont; granddaughters Aimee Hale and Corrie Hale of Mauriceville and Katharine Hale of Beaumont; grandsons Beau Hale of Mauriceville and Baryan Hale of Beaumont; her aunt, Lois Glanton of Hope, sister Joyce Booker of Emmet, sister and brother-in-law Ann and Leon Collier of Carlsbad, N.M.; brother and sister-in-law Bob and Betty Hale of Hot Springs; brother and sister- in-law Frank and Louise Hale of Emmet; sister-in-law Frances Harris of Prescott and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service for the immediate family was conducted by Greg Gilbreath on June 30 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.
