Ovie Parmer

Ovie Parmer, 81, of Emmet died Thursday, July 17, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

She was born on October 31, 1915, to J.D. and Martha Crain Shaw. She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, Joe Stephens and his wife, Nita, of Emmet; one daughter, Onie Morris of Nashville; four sisters, Onie Lee of Hope, Etha Mae Pennington of Murfreesboro, Agnes Nix of Lockesburg, and Inez Lee of Hope; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 19, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel in Hope. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home of Hope.
