Dansby Plans Several Performances At HopePublished Wednesday, July 23, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneLocal singer, songwriter and musician Margie Nixon Dansby will be ministering the gospel through her songs August 2 in Hope. She will perform in the Hope Community Center, located on the fairgrounds. Her performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. There will be other soloists, groups and choirs performing. Dansby will also be performing on stage at the Hope Watermelon Festival August 15 at 11 a.m. Copies of her demo tape will be available. Dansby is the producer of her own demo. Her cover title is `I'm Just a Child of God,'for her collection of 21 songs now located in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Dansby is the lead vocalist and background vocals. Music laid on track is also by Dansby. "I want the world to know that my venture into the singing ministry and recording industry was engineered and arranged by my father in heaven," she said in a news release.
