A cooperative effort from area law enforcement agencies netted seven drug arrests Tuesday, July 15 in Nevada County.

According to court records on six of the suspects, all were charged with delivery of a controlled substance. The drugs involved were primarily marijuana and crack cocaine, though one suspect was charged with the delivery of methamphetamines.

Sammy Bernard Warren, 34, of Prescott, formerly of Little Rock, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, and has been released on $10,000 bond.

Neil Curtis Tolliver, 18, of Prescott was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely crack cocaine, and has been released on a $25,000 bond.

Greg Alan Shehane, 34, of El Dorado, was charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamines, and has a bond set at $50,000. He has not bonded out yet.

Nathaniel Morris Confron, 32, of Prescott, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, namely crack cocaine. Confron was out on bond at the time of his arrest Tuesday, with the court then denying him bond in this case.

Carl Edward Purifoy, 45, of Bluff City, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, namely crack cocaine. According to the court records, Purifoy has no job and remains in the Nevada County jail with a $20,000 bond.

James Arthur Walker, 38, of Prescott, was charged with delivery of a controlled substance, namely crack cocaine, and had a bond set at $20,000. He, too, remains in the Nevada County jail.

Walker informed the court he could not afford an attorney and had the public defender, Jim Pedigo, appointed in his behalf.

The seventh suspect, Joan Collums, also known as "Cricket" had papers served on her while an inmate in the Hempstead County jail. There was no record of her arrest in the Nevada County courthouse.

All other suspects in the case told the court they would hire their own lawyers. Confron was represented in court by his barrister, John Goodson.

Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell said these arrests came from an ongoing investigation between the Arkansas State Police, the South Central Drug Task Force, Nevada County Sheriff's Office and Prescott Police Department.

Arrest warrants were issued on all seven suspects, with authorities dividing them up and searching these people out. When found, all were placed under arrest.

"I'd like to thank the ASP, the Task Force, Chief Willie Latin and the PPD for working with us in the spirit of cooperation and harmony," Otwell said, "in getting the job done.

"This is not a one-man show. We're all working together to do our part."
