Four Spots Open In School RacesBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, July 23, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune Anyone interested in running for a position on any of the county school boards needs to get their petitions in by Aug. 1. According to Nevada County Clerk Julie Stockton, there is one seat coming up for election on the Prescott School Board. Rick McGough's spot in zone 5 is coming open. On the Emmet School Board, Wayne Baker's spot will be the one candidates seek, while Davis Benton's post with the Nevada School Board is opening up. Bobby Caudle's position on the Nevada County Board of Education is also coming open for the September election. Petitions can be picked up at the County Clerk's Office.
