Cancer 4-Man Scamble Planned

The annual American Cancer Society (ACS) golf tournament will be held August 9 at the Prescott Country Club, Lanora Dalrymple announced Thursday at the ACS meeting at the First United Methodist Church. Phyllis Stewart, president, presided over the meeting.

The four-man scramble will cost $30 per person with all money going to patient services in Nevada County. Lunch will be served by ACS volunteers and many prizes donated by local businesses and professional concerns will be awarded.

Those wishing to participate may sign up at Prescott Country Club or contact Lanora or Carl Dalrymple at 887-2312 or 887-3752.

Other business was the memorials report by Anice Ward, minutes of the last meeting by Patsy Womble, treasurer's report by Marie Eley, and staff report by Bill Wright.

The next meeting will be held September 25.
