Texarkana College Sets Fall Registration August 5

Texarkana College will begin registering for the fall semester Aug. 5. However, now is the time for students to check with academic advisement, according to Georgia McFaul, director of counseling. Students should come by the Counseling Center in the Administration Building as soon as possible to receive such advisement, she added.

Any new academic student at Texarkana College, or one who is transferring from another college, or anyone who hasn't passed all three parts of the TASP test, must have a trial schedule approved by a counselor or a division chairman prior to registering.

Students who have 40 or more earned hours can reagister Aug. 5. The following day, Aug. 6, students with 15 or more hours are scheduled to register, and on Aug. 7, students with one or more earned hours will register.

Any student with a last name beginning with M-Z may register Aug. 13, and those with last names beginning with A-L may register Aug. 14. Any student may register Aug. 19.

Hours for registration are 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. each day. In addition, registration will be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 19.

Late registration will be Aug. 25-29. Hours for these days are 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 1:00 to 6:30 p.m. each day, execpt Aug. 29, when registration will close at 5:00 p.m. A $20 late fee will abe charged those who register late.

Academic classes for the fall semester will begin Aug. 25.
