Otis Aubrey AskewPublished Wednesday, August 13, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneOtis Aubarey Askew, 67, of Prescott died Tuesday, August 5, 1997, at the veterans hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 8, 1930, at Rosston. He was a member of Union Baptist Church at Bodcaw, a veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW and DAV in Prescott. Survivors include his wife, Rosie Askew of Prescott; one son, Mike Askew of Hope; one daughter, Kathy Stern of Odessa, Wash.; one brother, Rufus Askew of Blevins; one sister Exie Richardson of Laneburg; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Funeral services were Saturday, August 9, at Union Baptist Church at Bodcaw with Rev. David Cook officiating with burial in Union Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home of Stamps.
