SIMPLE POSSESSIONPublished Wednesday, August 18, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneDawn Riley, 29, of Prescott, was charged with simple possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia after being stopped for speeding Sunday, Aug. 8. According to Sorrells, Martin noticed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 67 south. A radar check showed the car to be going 63 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone. After stopping the vehicle, Martin got permission to search it and found a black cigarette bag with what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette in it, along with a pack of rolling papers, a hemostat and one-half of a Valium.
