Head Start Taking ApplicationsPublished Wednesday, August 13, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesGurdon Head Start Center, located at 410 Main Street, has begun taking applications for children for the fall program. Deadline to register is August 15. If you have a child who will be three years old by October 1, it may be eligible for child care services at no cost to the parents. Bring proof of income, your child's birth certificate and their immunization records to the center and enroll your child before the deadline. A part-day program is provided for non-working parents and a full- day program is offered for working or in-school parents. The center is administered by Central Arkansas Development Council with federal funds from the Department of Health and Human Services.
