John Henry Ollison's funeral was held Saturday, December 6, at Bella Vista Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, with pastor Calvin J. Abraham officiating. He was born in Rosston on September 28, 1912, to the late Eugene and Mattie Ollison. He attended Oak Grove Public School in Rosston. On December 1, 1938, he married Ruby Mae Robinson, who preceded him in death. To this union seven childre

n were born. Bro. Ollison served in the U.S. Army-Navy during World War II. He departed this life at Memorial Northwest Hospital in Houston, Texas, November 29.

Wren Simpson Merritt from Camden passed away Saturday. She formerly lived in Rosston.

George went to the hospital and stayed one night. Gloria and I had the flu. We went to the doctor and got medicine.

Roxie Lee Tidwell passed away this morning, Monday. She was my best friend, a very good person. Her funeral has not been arranged yet.

Wren Simpson Merritt will be buried at New Salem Cemetery.

I went to my brother-in-law's (Harding Kendrick) funeral in Palm Springs, Calif. He was the youngest in family.

Vera Purifoy stopped by Sunday after church; also Mrs. Janet Smith, my pastor, Rev. Lessly Banks, and his brother, Larry, Friday night.
