The first grade at Nevada Elementary School had a Thanksgiving feast in November. The children helped prepare for the feast. They made homemade bread, roasted corn and fruit salad. Mrs. Noel Brewster and Mrs. Dee Godwin's classes were dressed as Indians (above). Mrs. Rita Briner's class was dressed as Pilgrims. The tables were decorated with placemats, tepees and turkeys that the children had made for the feast. The children had a really great time preparing for the feast.

In November, Prescott Elementary School students colored pictures of Mickey Mouse for a coloring contest. The winning posters were displayed on the walls of the PES cafeteria. In addition, there were presents and a birthday cake just for Mickey Mouse.

The pictures show how the lunchroom ladies got into the birthday spirit.

The pictures also show the winners of the coloring contest by each grade.
