Specialist Frederick G. Gulley of Little Rock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lazarus Gulley of Rosston, a member of CO A (-)1--153 Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard has been awarded the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (2nd Award). He is currently in college at SAU in Magnolia. His military occupational specialty is 11b10, assistatne machine gunner.

He began his military career in June 1990 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, National Defensed Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Driver-Mechanic Badge, Arkansas Service Ribbon and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon.


Specialist Undrea L. Beasley of Prescott, a member of CO A (-) 1-153d Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard, has been awarded the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (1st Award). He is currently in college at Philander Smith College in Little Rock. His military occupational specialty is 11B10 automatic rifleman.

He is the son of Mrs. Joyce Beasley of Prescott. He began his military career in June 1994 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon.


Staff Sergeant Paul J. Melton of Cale, a member of CO A (-) 1-153d Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard, has been awarded the Arkansas Service Ribbon (1st Award). He is an employee of the Scotts Company in Hope. His military occupational specialty is 11B30 rifle squad leader.

SSG Melton began his military career in March 1985 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Southwest Asia Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Driver-Mechanic Badge and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon.


Staff Sergeant Daniel C. Bennett of Prescott, a member of CO A (-) 1-153d Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard, has been awarded the Arkansas Service Ribbon (3rd Award). He is a self-employed truck driver. His military occupational specialty is 11B30 weapons squad leader.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Bennett of Fenton, Mo. He began his military career in January 1980 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Arkansas Service Ribbon and the Arkansas Emergeny Service Ribbon.

Bennett and his wife, the former Glenda Cross, live in Prescott.


PV2 Robert L. Jones Jr. of Hope, a member of Company A (-) 1-53d Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard, has been promoted to the rank of Private First Class. He is a graduate of Bodcaw High School. His military occupation specialty is 11B10 automatic rifleman.

PFC Jones entered the military December 27, 1988 and has received the following medals: Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Component Overseas Training Ribbon, Arkansas Service Ribbon and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon.

The son of Robert L. Jones of Rosston, he is assigned as a automatic rifleman.


PVI John L. Belasco Jr. of Prescott, a member of Company A (-) 1-53d Infantry at Prescott Army National Guard, has been promoted to the rank of Private Second Class. He is a graduate of Prescott High School.

PV1 Belasco entered the military on May 9, 1991, and has received the following medals: Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal and the Arkansas Emergency Service Ribbon.

The son of Mrs. Brenda Williams of Prescott, he is assigned as a machine gunner.
