Bertie Mae NorvellPublished Wednesday, September 17, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneBertie Mae Norvell, 82, of Hope died Friday, September 12, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital. Mrs. Norvell was born November 9, 1914, in Nevada County. She was a retired store clerk and a member of White Oak Grove Baptist Church in DeAnn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Edmon Norvell, who died April 15, 1983. Survivors include two sons, Grandon Allan Norvell of Texarkana, Ark., and Gary E. Norvell of Mesquite, Texas; one daughter, Joan Key of Hope; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Sunday, September 14, at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel in Hope with Rev. Neal Ridling officiating. Burial was in Holly Grove Cemetery in Blevins. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home.
