PMS, PHS Students To Take SAT 9 Tests

Prescott Middle School (grades 5-8) and Prescott High School (grades 9-11) will begin Stanford Achievement Test - Ninth Edition (SAT-9) Monday, September 22. Other test days will be Tuesday, September 23, Wednesday, September 24 and Thursday, September 25 (at PMS).

Students taking the test should bring two number two pencils with erasers and a calculator. Calculators will be provided students who do not have one.

School administrators said it's important that students do their best on these tests, because they show their progress in reading, math, spelling, language, study skills, science, social studies and listening skills.

There are some things that parents can do to help their children make good test scores. They are:

1. Stress the importance of doing their best on every part of the test.

2. Be sure that they get a good night's rest each night before th test.

3. Be sure that they have a good breadfast each day that the test will be given.

4. Provide two no. two pencils for their student.

Students and parents will receive test results within a few weeks after the tests are completed.

Seniors at PHS will be treated to a three-day senior seminar September 22, 23 and 24. These are school days and seniors are requried to attend.

Beginning at 8:00 Monday, students and their parents will be treated to breakfast in the gym foyer. Entertainmetn will follow along with local and college speakers.

Tuesday morning students will hear speakers from several other colleges.

Wednesday morning seniors will discuss graduation orders, select committees for senior class day and other things.
