Four Earn Degree From SAU

In August, Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia conferred degrees to 71 graduates during summer commencement.

Students attaining a grade point average (GPA) of 3.50-3.74 graduated cum laude, students who earned a GPA of 3.75-3.89 graduated magna cum laude and students who earned a GPA of 3.90-4.00 graduated summa cum laude, the highest honor bestowed.

From Prescott, Janice Jo Callicott earned a masters education degree in special education, Carla Annette Franks earned a masters education in library media and Teresa Fay Ragsdale earned a masters education in mathematics-science education.

From Willisville, Carroll Wayne Jones earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture business.
