We had an enjoyable week at the center August 16-20. Bingo on Monday, council meeting and dine-out night on Tuesday, music by Mary Kay Benson on Wednesday, a ring toss game on Thursday, and show and tell on Friday were some of the activities we seniors participated in.

This week there are several activities planned.

The month of August will soon be over. It has been terribly hot and uncomfortable, but the center has been cool. There have been a lot of visiting and fellowship among friends. Nadine Logan and I have been quilting. This quilt will soon be history, as we are almost finished with it.

Some of our senior adults have been unable to attend, because of sickness and also loss of their loved ones. Syble Harris is still at Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center. We will be glad when she can be back with us.

We wish to thank the volunteers who worked last week. They are an important part of the center.

The center is a program of the Central Arkansas Development Council and a United Way Agency.
