Forest Pageant October 4th

The annual Forest Festival Pageant will be held Saturday, Oct. 4, in the Gurdon Middle School auditorium at 7 p.m.

Any girl residing in Clark County who is between the ages of 3 and 18 are eligible to enter. Contestants are reminded entry forms and photographs must be turned in along with the $30 entry fee by Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 5 p.m.

Entry forms may be picked up at Billy's Main Street Florist, located in Kuhn's Sentry Hardware on Main Street in Gurdon.

Black and white portraits will be used to judge the photogenic portion of the pageants. Girls not wanting to be judged in this area may turn any current photo for the newspaper.

Details on the rehearsal schedule for the pageant will be in the Sept. 24 edition of the Times.

The pageant is sponsored by the Gurdon CD&E Club in conjunction with the Gurdon Forest Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25.
