Saul Dickens Jr.

Saul Dickens Jr., 76, of Fordyce passed away recently.

He was born January 21, 1921, in Gurdon. He was a member of Providence A.M.E. Church of Whelen Srpings.

Survivors include six sons, Deotis, Albert and Deotis Saul Dickens of Fordyce, Harry Dickens of Seattle, Wash., Howard Dickens of Rockford, Ill., and Lee Dickens of Malvern; three daughters, Annie Hooker and Fannie Ready of Malvern and Jennifer McClelland of Fordyce; a brother, William Taft Dickens of Gurdon; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, September 17, at Providence A.M.E. Church with Revs. Fostene Quarles and Wayne Rogers officiating. Burial was in Kansas Cemetery at Whelen Springs under the direction of Harris Mortuary of Hot Springs.

Pallbearers were Johnny Walker, Charles Dickens, J.N. Stephens, Ulyses Ritchie, Earl Briscoe, David Dickens and Teroy Loving.
