Walsie Haislip Tidwell

Walsie Haislip Tidwell, 88, died Thursday, September 11, 1997, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Murfreesboro.

She was born on September 9, 1909 in Murfreesboro to the late Blake and Lula Haislip. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Tidwell.

Survivors include two sisters, Eliza Scoggins of Denver, Colo., and Roxie Johnson of Murfreesboro; one brother, Lake Haislip of Murfreesboro; one stepson, Esell Tidwell of Nashville; three brothers-in- law, Ivory J. Tidwell and Artie Velt Tidwell of Rosston and Bracy Tidwell of Hot Springs; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 20, at Owen Chapel Baptist Church in Murfreesboro with Rev. Kelvin Lambert officiating. Interment was in Murfreesboro Cemetery with arrangements under Hicks Funeral Home of Hope.
