Cowan D. BrownPublished Wednesday, September 24, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneCowen D. Brown, 87, of Hope died Saturday, September 20, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope. He was born November 28, 1909, in Antlers, Okla. Mr. Brown was a retired welder with Frisco Railroad, working for the railroad nearly 45 years. He was a member of the Hope Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mozelle Cannon Brown of Hope; one son, David Brown of Prescott; one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Cobb of St. Louis, Mo.; one brother, Robert Brown of Hugo, Okla.; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and one great great grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, September 23, at Hope Church of Christ with John Cannon and Johnny Cannon officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens in Hope.
