Elta L. MorrellPublished Wednesday, September 24, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneElta Lee Morrell, of White Oak Lake near Chidester, died Wednesday, September 10, 1997. Mrs Morrell was born January 1, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Carrie Easterling Shipp. She was a member of Chidester Baptist Church and Nailbenders organization. She loved painting and quilting. Survivors include her husband, William H. Morrell; three sons, Joe Harris of White Oak, Robert Morrell of Sonoma, Calif., and Williams Morrell III of Boyes Hot Springs, Calif.; a daughter, Linda Alexander of Alturas, Calif.; a sister, Elverne Strinkle of Stamps; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Private services were held in Union Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of Proctor Funeral Home. In lieu of floweres, donations may be made to the Chidester Baptist Church building fund.
