Jessie Haynie

Jessie Haynie, 70, of Prescott died Monday, September 22, 1997, at Columbia Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Mr. Haynie was born May 12, 1917, in Bluff City to Willie and Pallie Ingram Haynie. He was a retired truck driver with Potlatch. He was a member of St. John's Baptist Church in Bluff City. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Finis Haynie.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Young Haynie of Prescott; seven sons, Jessie R. Haynie, Tommy Lee Haynie and Willis Lee Haynie of Omaha, Neb., Carl Lee Haynie of Fort Worth, Texas, Kenneth Van Hook of Los Angeles, Calif., Randolph Van Hook of Prescott and Dwight Hayes of Little Rock; eight daughters, Orene Osler of Menifee, Patsy Ruth Taylor of Prescott, Rose Mae Shipps of Omaha, Linda Faye Stewart of McCaskill, Carolyn Hayden of Houston, Texas, Edith Hayes of Prescott, Nancy Barnes of Little Rock and Phillis Felley of Prescott; one brother, Charlie Haynie of Waterloo; and 41 grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday, September 17, at St. John's Baptist Church in Bluff City with Rev. Wallace Ingram officiating. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
