Gene GloverPublished Wednesday, October 1, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesGene Glover, of Gurdon died Monday, September 22, 1997 at the age of 63. He was assistant manager of Piggly Wiggly in Gurdon, and a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Glover of Gurdon; a son, David Glover of Gurdon; a daughter, Leigh Ann Griffin also of Gurdon; three sisters, Nancy Ulrich of Missoulaz, Mt., Bonnie Carbis of Castro Valley, Calif., and Mary Post of Groverland, Calif.; three brothers, Jimmy Glover of Chula Vista, Calif., Larry J. Glover and Jerry Wayne Glover both of Castro Valley, Calif.; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Patrick and Cody. He was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Jean Metzingler. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 1997, in Horne Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was in the Easley Cemetery, Arrangements were by Horne Funeral Home of Gurdon.
