Dog Sale Set For SaturdayPublished Wednesday, October 1, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesThe 10th Annual Dog Sale and Trade Day will be held Saturday, October 4th at the 182 foxpen in the Maryette Community. Craft table setups will be available upon request. Billy Bryan will be on hand with his complete supply of dog collar, leads and name plates. He will also MC our dog parade. Anyone who advertises a registered hound at stud is welcome to come and show their hound and blow some smoke. John Casteel will be here to get you the most for any hounds or hunting items, that you wish to put in the auction. Dillard's Supper Stop will be here serving up that good grub. Plenty of cold drinks and good fellowship will be available under three big shade trees. Bring those extra hounds and hunting items out. Maybe someone needs them. Remember, Saturday, October 4th, between Gurdon and Okolona on Highway 182. We will have a potluck supper Friday night, October 3rd at 6:30 p.m. Joe Blanton, Jimmy and Jerry Hilton, Billy Allen, Burl Gills and others will serve up some good picking and singing.
