ns made sure Lewisville's Red Devils remained winless with a 42-24 whipping.

Mineral Springs edged Murfreesboro 13-8 to put the Rattlers in a tough spot. Stamps, meanwhile, demolished Foreman 55-26.

According to the standings, Stamps leads the league with a 2-0 conference mark and is 3-2 overall. They are followed by the Hornets of Mineral Springs, 2-1, 3-1-1; Dierks, 1-1, 2-3; Gurdon, 1-1, 4-1; Horatio, 1-1, 2-3; Murfreesboro, 1-1, 2-3; Foreman, 1-1, 1-3; and Lewisville, 0-3, 0-5.

The way things have been going in the conference, Gurdon is still the team to beat.

The Devils need to put the Dierks fiasco behind them and look forward to the rest of the season. Following Stamps, the Devils return to the friendly confines of Gus Brown Field Oct. 17, for their homecoming game against Lewisville.

Once the Red Devils are out of the way, the Devils will hit the road to Foreman on Oct. 24, return home for a Halloween date with Murfreesboro (and a bit of revenge for last season's 42-0 loss), ending the season on the road to Horatio.

But, the way the Devils have been playing, they should be assured a playoff berth. The only questions will be where they will finish in the league and where the AAA will send them if they don't finish first.

In other league games this week, Murfreesboro travels to Dierks, Foreman is at Lewisville and Horatio has a date with Mineral Springs.
