Birthday Party Held

Published Wednesday, October 8, 1997 in the Nevada County Picayune

Tyler Carlton celebrated his second birthday Thursday, October 2. Tyler's grandparents, Judy and Steve Carlton, along with dad, Jonathan, entertained 17 family members and friends from Bodcaw, Rosston, Hope, Nashville, Murfreesboro and Blevins with a cookout and cake and ice cream supper Thursday evening.

In addition to the other guests, five generations were together for the first time. These included Tyler; dad Jonathon, grandmother Judy, all of near Bodcaw, great granddad Bill Pettit and great great grandmother Jewel Pettit, both of Hope.

The hit of the party seemed to ber rubber boots and a big black truck for Tyler to ride in, a gift from his Aunt Nana Gretchen.

Tyler was again honored with a party Saturday, October 4, at his mother Angela's home in Rosston. A Winnie the Pooh theme was carried out with cake and ice cream for all 19 guests.

In addition to the other family and friends from Rosston, Laneburg, Bodcaw and Magnolia, four generations were together to celebrate with Tyler. These included Tyler; mother, Angela Carlton, granddad, Ricky Dillard; and great granddad, B.C. Dillard, all of Rosston.

Tyler's favorite of this party was a flying fairy, a gift from great granddad, B.C. Dillard.
