Dr. Garland Fielding GarrettPublished Wednesday, October 15, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneGarland Fielding Garrett, M.D., 92, of Los Angeles, Calif., formerly of Prescott, died March 28, 1997. Dr. Garrett was born September 11, 1904, in Nevada County to Tom and Laura Fielding Garrett. He was a retired doctor. Survivors include his wife, Jane Garrett of Los Angeles; one son, Frank Garrett of Encinipas, Calif.; five daughters, Elaine Colbern of Oxnard, Calif., Betty Wygant of Saratoga, Calif., and Debra Garrett, Judy Held and Christene Garrett all of California; one sister, Elizabeth Murrah of Sutton; and other relatives. A memorial graveside service was held Sunday, October 12, at Harmony Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Palmer officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
