Second Suspect Nabbed In Church Burglaries

A second arrest has been made in the burglary of two local churches.

The Assembly of God church and First Christian Church were burglarized on Aug. 20, with several pieces of electronic equipment taken.

Johnny Hulsey, 38, of Hot Springs, was arrested in Hot Springs Saturday, Oct. 11 on charges there. He was brought back to Nevada County when a bench warrant issued Sept. 5, 1997, was served.

Hulsey was charged with theft of property and commercial burglary. These are class C felonies, carrying a sentence of 3-10 years in prison and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

The other suspect in the case is Tracy Williams, who was arrested Aug. 29, 1997.
