It is Lois Wicker on August 29. We wish you well. Shirley Brown from El Dorado visited her mother, Louise Presson, one night this week. Delia Pittman visited Maxine Ledbetter last week. Esther Reese had guests from the other side of the earth - grandson Kenneth Smith and his new wife, Fran, and her daughter, Poppy, from England. Ruth Ingram visited Lois Piggee this week. Hamp Miller visited Noel Cummings, Jesse Steed and Juanita Weaver this week. Gladys Stephens visited Edna Formby one evening this week. Flossie Martin's guest this week was Kathryn Lavender. Niece of Esther Reese, Lisa Bradley, from Greenville, Texas, and daughters, Sue Bouie and Pauline Hawley ,visited last week. Jimmy and Diane Buck visited his father, Leamon Buck. Rachel Witt visited many friends here last week on Tuesday. On the 24th we had the State Game and Fish Mobile Aquarium out visiting us. The residents really enjoyed it. Then on Wednesday, 25th, we had our birthday party with Russ Carlton singing. He is always great. We always have the party on the last Wednesday of each month, it is to recognize the residents who have birthdays in that month. We are happy that Tabitha Egger is able to be out of the hospital and back home with us. Richard Burks and family visited his mother, Moriah Burks, this week. Minnie Moore had several guests this week, including her daughter, Jeanette Bever from Camden, Raymond and Wava Fitzhugh, Faye and Harvey Taylor and John and Jena Burdue. Visiting Lois Wicker was Hazel Walters from Gurdon, who brought her some birthday gifts. It is fair time. We have Lois Piggee, District Fair Queen 1998-99 and Estell Yancey, who represents our 1999 Hillcrest Queen. They both were in the parade. Those visiting Sherrill Young this week were Betty Sue Clayton from Gurdon and Jean Barton. Mary Spearman visited Oscar Hopson and Odis Walker on Saturday. Kyle Hayes visited his Memaw, Glendene Haynie over the weekend. Shirley Brown took Louise Presson out for lunch at Chris and Raymond Wesson's on Saturday. Visiting Myrtle Hastings over the weekend were Jim and Gloria Hastings. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of Mary Cross, who passed away Sunday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Bob Rhodes from Rosston visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Dillard, Tues. Jo DeWoody from Gurdon spent Tuesday, with her Aunt Lillian Terrel. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wright from Hot Springs spent two days here visiting her mother, Carolyn Gilbert, and Aunt Gladys McSwain. Cindy Ward from Bodcaw visited her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Dillard, Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Tyree and daughter Marla from Hamburg visited his grandmother, Grace Tyree, Thursday. Jenada Bloomfield from Arkadelphia visited her mother, Clara McCain, Sunday. Polly Gulley from White Oak visited her friend, Minnie Moore, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Murphy and Martha Faye from El Dorado visited Irene Wicker Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Haynie and two grandchildren, Bell and Nick, visited his mother, Glendene Haynie, Sunday.
