Lowe Field Construction Nearly DoneBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, October 15, 1997 in the Gurdon Times By JOHN MILLER Soon, Lowe Field will be down to its final phase of construction. According to Gurdon Airport Commissioner Mary Burns, a grant for $14,800 was received from the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics to help put running lights along the runway. In addition, she said, a grant for $87,000 has been confirmed from the Horace C. Cabe Foundation to be used a matching funds for the ADA grant. ADA grants, Burns said, are 75-25 matching grants.
