Alvis (Payne) WendtPublished Wednesday, October 22, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesAlvis (Payne) Wendt, 80, of Concord died Friday, October 17, 1997, at a Batesville hospital. Mrs. Wendt was preceded in death by her two brothers, Warren L. `Buster' Payne of Prescott and G.L. Payne of Ft. Worth, Texas. Survivors include her husband, Edgar F. Wendt; one son, Edgar Warren Wendt of Cypress, Calif.; one daughter, JoAnn Wendt of Cypress, Calif.; one sister, Dorothy Smith of Ft. Worth; and several nieces and nephews. After being creamated, burial will be at Missionary Grove (Numbin Hill) Cemetery Sunday, October 26, at 4:00 with Bro. Neil Ridling officiating.
