Vern BoydPublished Wednesday, October 22, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesVern Boyd, 71, of Emmet died October 13, 1997. Mr. Boyd was born November 11, 1925, to Vern Nelson Boyd and Lillian Dougan Boyd of Hempstead County. He was a retired employee of the Arkansas Highway Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Cottingham Boyd, and and one son, Jeff Paul Boyd. Survivors include one son, David Boyd of Emmet.
