Golf Tournament Raises $5,700 For Cancer Society

The American Cancer Society Golf (ACS) tournament held on August 7 at the Prescott Country Club raised $5,748. Thirty-four person teams participated in two sessions.

This is made possible by the contributions of the businesses and citizens of Nevada County and surrounding area.

Board members of the Nevada Unit of the ACS expressed their gratitude to those who contributed and to all who participated in the tournament. "Because of your generosity the cancer patients of Nevada County will have more services available to them," they said in a prepared release.
