Prescott Elementary School News

Prescott Elementary School has flag raiser teams to take care of the responsibilities of flag raising. The first group of flag raisers are, l-r, front row: Ashley Higginbotham and Kim Crowder; back row: Kayla Key and Megan Martin. Another group of flag raisers are, l-r, front row: Chris Dendy and Charlie Sanford; back row: Jeremy Henry, Chris Phillips and Matthew Haynie.

The fourth grade Prescott Elementary Garden Club placed in the Nevada County Fair. The school garden produced peppers, tomatoes, sunflowers, okra, eggplant, hot peppers, bell peppers and lots of enjoyment in watching plats grow. Members of the club include Zach Avery, Austin Vanderveer, Kai Lani Glass, Casey Carmon, Antoine Woodley, Chance Cummings, Adam McKinnon, Kyle Pennington, Brandon Sanders, Joseph Harris, Lakeshia Haynie, Brittany Allen, Lacy Webb, Kathyrn Lavendar, Kala Gills, Danielle Purifoy, Tawatha Phillips, Rainey Smallwood, Alicia McDuffey, Ebony Moss, Monique Bearden and Ashley Higginbotham.

The third grade Prescott Elementary Garden Club placed in the Nevada County Fair also. The members are Brittany Cason, Colton McClure, Keshia Arps, John Parks, Michael Bands, Antoine Woodley, Ben Smith, Andy Thompson, Laken Haynie, Tabitha Langston, Ashlwy Turner, Pablo Delgado, Megan McKamie, Jordan Haynie, Colbi Christopher, Dexter Sockwell, Amanda Smallwood, Heather Lewis, Keirere Page, Josh Plunkett, Chasity Dixon, Alyssa Andrews, Daron Burks, Misti Avery, Kelsey Hopkins, Kayla Ammons, Keyon Ross, Zack Otwell, Brody St. Clair, Phillip Purifoy, Noel Gulley, Samantha Wiley, Chase Haynes, RC Ragsdale and Chayla Colbert. The PES Garden Club also placed in the Southwest District Fair in Hope.
