Flora Mae West

Flora Mae West, 74, of Willisville died Thursday, October 23, 1997, in St. Vincent Medical Center in Little Rock.

Mrs. West was born October 17, 1923, in Rosston to Bunyon and Ida Jackson. She was retired from Firestone in Magnolia. Mrs. West was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Clarence Jackson, and one grandson, Jay West. She was a member of Willisville Methodist Church. Active in community affairs, she was an avid camper and basketball fan.

Survivors include her husband, Carl West of Willisville; two sons and their wives, Carl Max and Shirley West of Dallas, Texas, and Bert and Diana West of Magnolia; one daughter and her husband, Peggie and Herman Homishak of Hot Springs; one brother and his wife, Vergil and Emma Jackson of Willisville; one sister-in-law, Virginia Jackson of Bearden; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, October 25, at Willisville Methodist Church with Bro. Sanford Hankins, Bro. Jerry Evans and Bro. Gordon Rodgers officiating. Burial was in Wilisville Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home of Magnolia.

Pallbearers were Brady West, Jerry Homishak, Greg Leuchner, Tim Jackson, Albert Marlar, Gaylon Waters, Herbert Fore and Wayne Gibson.
