Carrie Is New AgentPublished Wednesday, October 29, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneCandace Carrie has been named County Extension Agent - Family and Consumer Science for the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service in Nevada County. She moved here from Warren, where she held the same position for Cleveland and Bradley Counties. Carrie has a master of science in education and bachelor of science degrees from Mississippi University for Women. Her varied work experiences include Associate Professor/Department Head at Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Miss., and instructor of Home Economics at Jones County Junior College in Ellisville, Miss. Carrie's wide range of skills include clothing consultant and accomplished floral designer. Carrie began work with the University of Arkansas as a County Extension Agent - Home Economics in 1990 at Montgomery County, moving on to Cleveland County in 1994. In 1995 while in Cleveland County, Bradley County was added to her area. She successfully managed Extension programs within both counties through September 1 of this year whereupon she transferred to Nevada. You'll be able to visit with Carrie each week through her column `Living Well with the Carrie Connection' here in the Nevada County Picayune. She will share timely information to assist with everyday living and seasonal and special recipes.
