Table Topper Tea, Lunch Set By Art LeaguePublished Wednesday, August 25, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Artesian Arts League is hosting a fund-raiser on October 16. The arts league is a non-profit organization which looks to fund-raisers as a means of financing programs that benefit the community through education and exposure to the various art forms by providing programs and workshops for all ages. The table topper tea and luncheon will be the culmination of a table decorating competition. Participating businesses or individuals who sponsor a table must decorate it in accordance with this year's theme, 'Celebrating Autumn's Bounty.' Sponsors are responsible for selling tickets for their table. The morning events will begin at 11:00, when diners will mingle and cast their votes for their favorite table setting and register for door prizes. The winning table will receive a prized valued at $50. Entertainment and a catered lunch celebrating the foods of fall will begin at noon. Local businesses and individuals are encouraged to show their support for the arts.
