Arkansas Singers Are Gathering

Singers from Arkansas and surrounding states will gather in Hot Springs and Bismarck for the 39th annual session of the O.C. Miller Memorial South Arkansas Quartet Convention.

The convention was renamed in recent years to honor its founder, O.C. Miller of Arkadelphia.

This year will feature a Saturday afternoon session from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. The regular session will be held from 6:00 until 10:00 p.m.

The Hot Springs location is the sanctuary of the Grand Avenue Baptist Church at 624 Convention Blvd.

The Sunday session will convene in the Bismarck High School cafetorium on Highway 84 in Bismarck. Singspiration, an informal praise and worship service with the groups start at 10:00 a.m. Free coffee and doughnuts will be served. The afternooon session begins with an ongoing program of music from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.

There is no admission charge. The public is invited to attend all sessions.
