Free History CalendarsPublished Wednesday, November 5, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesThe Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, is offering free color calendars featuring photos of Arkansas properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, AHPP Director Cathy Slater announced October 31. "The 1998 Historic Arkansas Calendar covers a broad range of historic properties and highlights the talents of several talented photograpers," Slater said. "We hope it will remind people on a daily basis of the importance of preserving our historic links to the past." Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
